Future Farmer Program 2.0 supports the future of Island farmers and agriculture on Prince Edward Island through collaboration, mentorship, and project funding. The program helps producers set and prioritize their business goals while strengthening the planning, management, and technical skills needed for success. Participants can also access incentives to support projects that align with their business plans and meet S-CAP priorities.
To access the new Future Farmer Program 2.0, prospective farmers need to complete an application..
Successful applicants will be eligible for funding for 10 years after successful registration in the program.
Along with access to funding provided through the Agri-Start and Continuing to Grow subprograms, participants who are registered in the Future Farmer Program 2.0 will also be eligible for Bonafide Farmer status and mentoring support from Department of Agriculture staff.
